Trail guide
SA PMR 03 is a 320 m one-way garden path from El Portillo Visitor Centre to a Teide-facing lookout. Turn around there and return the same way for about 0.40 miles total. Teide National Park lists about 25 minutes and low difficulty. This is a brief viewpoint walk, not a climb of Teide.
The park describes the path as fully adapted for people with reduced mobility. It gives an average width of 1.5 m and a 5 m turning circle at the far end, with 11 m of cumulative ascent on the published route. It does not detail the surface or break out the gradient along the path; if either matters for your mobility aid, check those specifics with the visitor centre.
The route crosses the Wolfredo Wildpret Botanical Garden to its Teide-facing lookout. From the west end, the view takes in Teide's east face, Montaña Blanca and Pico Cabra, with Risco de La Fortaleza farther back. For a photo, keep the garden's low lava-stone borders in the foreground so the frame shows where you are as well as the mountain.
The four-hectare garden is dedicated to Canarian botanist Wolfredo Wildpret de la Torre. It represents more than 75% of Teide National Park's higher plant species and also supports research and conservation work.
Begin beside Centro de Visitantes de El Portillo on TF-21. The visitor centre has adapted toilets; the trail access is free and does not require a reservation. The park lists two marked parking spaces for authorized vehicles but does not give general parking capacity.
