Hiking Ingar Campsite Loop

A short, uphill loopIngar Campsite Loop is a 2.

Ingar Campsite Loop is a 2.5 km circuit from beside Ingar Campground, climbing on Mount Bedford's slopes and passing Bedford Creek Lookout before returning to its start. It gains about 150 m in a short distance; allow roughly an hour. I'd choose it if you're staying at Ingar and want a compact hill walk, not a flat wander around camp.

Keep the walk-in separateThe 2.5 km loop does not include the approach to the campground.

The 2.5 km loop does not include the approach to the campground. NPWS lists a 5 km foot approach from the Bedford Creek Trail turnoff and a 13 km approach from the Andersons Trail intersection. Those are one way to camp; check current access information before setting out.

What the map tells youThe route forms a closed loop on an unpaved footpath, starting and ending beside the campground.

The route forms a closed loop on an unpaved footpath, starting and ending beside the campground. The park's visitor information doesn't describe this short loop by name or give details about markers or track conditions. Treat the mapped route as a guide, check what is marked on the ground, and be prepared for uncertain wayfinding.
